Reflections in the past year send my head spinning. To say it was a busy one is a dangerous understatement. Moving backward through time, I found out that I will be a father to a little brown-eyed girl. I wed my love, Neomi on a beach in Puerto Rico and then went for a swim, clothing and all, in the hotel pool directly after
[link]This year I also triumphantly illustrated my first book (I completed 128 illustrations in 30 days!) which will hit the stores this coming February, just a few days before my 30th birthday
[link] [link] 2008 brought me back to Miami for Basel, took me on a road trip through New Mexico and Colorado, and a sail through the Caribbean. I displayed my paintings at the intrepid StoneFox Artspace in NYC
[link] , created a shift in my work that I am truly proud of and join the community here at dA. It's truly been a pressure getting to know you all and I cherish all the friendships that have spawned through the pages of dA. I hope the New Year brings everyone of you everything you wish and more. It was a year of firsts in many ways and I can only begin to suspect what 2009 has in store.
As for resolutions and such, I have but one this year - to find gallery representation for my paintings and/or a publisher for my graphic novel work. It's time.
Happy New Year and all the best,
Reuben Negron

I'm sooooo totally excited and just jumping for JOY for all your wonderful and joyous news from this year. Most of all that baby girl.... what do you plan on naming her and when is she due again... I could go back through and find where you told me before..... but damn that would take effort.
Your wedding photos are PERFECT..... Naomi was absolutely stunning and I love the pop of red.... what a romantic setting and both of you look soooo crazy in LOVE ... it is just a beautiful thing.
My world as you saw is moving in a new direction. I am moving up to Canada after having met an awesome wonderful man that I have fallen head over heals for and have loads in common with. So all is good yet bitter sweet at the same time. Miss Mo and Syd will be staying here.
Anyways I hope that the New Year continues to bring you much love and success and creative inspiration. (I think a new little girl will do that just fine) As soon as I get settled I will be looking forward to seeing more updates from you
Make sure you tell that beautiful Naomi hello and congrats as well
So your world will be changing soon too!Wow, he must be quite the man to make you uproot and move to Canada! Congratulations, I'm really happy for you. It's got to be a exciting time for the both of you. Where will you be moving to? Are you driving? If it's on the east coast then you need to make a pit stop in NYC!!!
Awww, when is your little brown eyed girl due? Congratulations! Your wedding sounded incredible!
Oh, is this a Freudian slip? It's truly been a pressure getting to know you all well it's been such a busy year after all!
Funny thing about this little entry is that it only touches on a few of the things that went on this year. I seriously can think of only a handful of weekends when i got to sleep in and enjoy a leisurely afternoon. But I love it when I'm busiest.
Thank you for your well-wishes and your support. I really do appreciate it!
All the best to you in 2009 - I look forward to seeing what new creations you've have for us this coming year!
