...it's been killing me. Although, to be fair, I can't complain.

Earlier this year I was really struggling - I had several jobs and a group show fall through and I didn't know how I would pay rent. I was a mess.

But then - BOOM! The flood gates opened and I was inundated with more freelance work than I can handle. So far this summer I've produced events for Disney, am working on an event for Lipton, illustrated my second book cover, started work on my first fully book, produced my first national ad campaign, contributed once again to Rabid Rabbit, lent my artwork to a band called The Informant [link] for their debut cd, was commissioned for a large-scale watercolor painting, was commissioned to restore a 20 year old gouache painting, designed a few websites and worked as a professional photographer, photographing head shots, portraits and events.

Needless to say, I've had very little time for painting...

In the meantime I've been uploading a mess of photos to my other deviant account here: [link]

This one which I jut posted a few hours ago is a personal favorite: [link]

I should be getting back to painting soon - hopefully within the month. I've got a series of smaller watercolors that have been swimming around my head for too long and I'll be getting those out first. Until then - Please enjoy the photos.

Cheers~

Oh course I will have time to work with you. How about we set a date now so when we get back from PR we can make it happen? As for the $100 meals - I've given them up, just too rich for my tastes. I'm a simple man. Give me nachos!

Oh yeah - we're still going abroad. I think we found our starting point too - Nepal!

It's been a fucking whirlwind. Sometimes I struggle to stay afloat but so far so cool. It's been a long and bumpy road but I figure as long as I have a death grip on it and never let go - I should be ok.

And now I'm ready to get back to some watercolor painting! It's been way too long!!!

You know it..... and we (my daughter and I ... and I sure all of your DA fans) are ready for you to get back into your painting!!! Is that your one true passion the water color???

BTW.... thank you soooo much for giving Morganne - Nothought the great and thorough advice on the art school question that she asked. I am very impressed and thankful for you taking the time to do so!!! You're an awesome person.... thank you again

One true passion? Hmm... well it's what I use for my paintings and I love it - we've got an understanding, watercolors and I. But one true passion? That might just be image making in general.

And as for the advice - no problem! I hope it was helpful. At one point I was not sure if what I was saying was even coherent (i have a tendency to blather when speaking about something passionately). But if you guys have any other questions about art school or need me to expand/clarify anything I was saying, please feel free to let me know!

You gave wonderful advice and you are the one that we'd ask or I should say that she would ask... she's got such a respect for your work and style :D I like that in general your just a downright sweetheart :D

Awww  thanks! That means a lot to me.

As for those pics of my special lady friend - well, she'd not too keen on having her nakedness on the internet. I showed her the photos I'd post - and while she agreed that they are pretty kick-ass images, she's a little too shy to have them swimming about the interwebs.

So I guess that means I'll just have to photograph another model - one not so modest. ;)

Fantastic, All sounds so positive and exciting! Though I'm sure it can get overwhelming at times too.
Good luck with it all, am looking forward to seeing more works :D
